You do not need an account to read this website. Its local tools work without analytics. You can choose whether to allow Google Analytics to measure visits to public pages.

A static website window is separated from an external-service window by a clear boundary. A single user-choice marker crosses that boundary, showing that copying text, opening email, or visiting another site happens only after the visitor chooses an action.

What this website does with information
- No account required: reading public pages does not require a website account or sign-in.
- Analytics is optional: Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Choose No thanks to browse without it. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled. Read the details.
- No feedback collection: feedback is not sent to or stored by this website.
- Your collection stays on your device: the My Collection preview saves chosen exhibit references, their order, and display style in this browser. It does not send those choices to an account or server. Clearing this site’s browser data removes that saved copy; Export backup lets you keep a separate file and Restore backup lets you bring it back.
- Local backups: collection backups contain exhibit references and credits, not artwork files. A backup selected for restoration is read in your browser and is not uploaded. The collection tool does not create cookies or install a service worker. Optional analytics cookies are explained below.
- Local presentation assets: website images, styles, audio, and local tools are served from this site. Google Analytics is the exception and loads only with your permission. External destinations are followed when you choose a link.

Optional website visit statistics
When you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 receives page views and basic visit information, including page titles and addresses, referring website, browser and device information, and approximate location. Google processes this information to produce reports about visits to Avatar Palace.
The analytics setup removes query strings and fragments from page addresses and keeps only the referring website's origin. It does not send feedback text, email-composer contents, saved collection choices, artwork, or backup files. Automatic form, link, download, scroll, and video measurement is turned off. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled.
Analytics cookies are set for up to 90 days and may renew during use. Your Allow or No thanks choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. Use Analytics choices in any page footer to change your decision. Choosing No thanks stops future analytics collection from the page and removes this site's analytics cookies; it does not erase information already sent to Google.
These statistics cover public pages on avatarpalace.net and www.avatarpalace.net. They do not measure the private archive, Palace chat, or a Palace client. If you decline, this website does not load Google Analytics. Read Google's privacy policy for its processing practices.
On September 14, 2026, we set Google Analytics user-level and event-level data retention to two months, without extending the user-data retention period when someone returns. Google applies setting changes after 24 hours and removes expired data through its monthly deletion process. Standard aggregate reports can remain available for longer. These settings are separate from the lifetime of cookies in your browser. Changing your analytics choice stops future collection but does not erase information already sent to Google or copies of reports.
We use Supermetrics to retrieve aggregate Google Analytics reports, such as visit totals, popular pages and referral sources. Reports may also be provided to ChatGPT (OpenAI) to help interpret these statistics. These reporting services may process information outside Canada. Supermetrics temporarily stores connector results and retains the access credentials needed to retrieve reports; its cache expiry varies by service. Google Analytics retention settings do not automatically delete copies held by reporting services. See Supermetrics data handling, its processing terms, and OpenAI's privacy policy. Reviewing feedback happens in the current page. Choosing Copy asks the browser to place the prepared text on your device clipboard. Choosing the email action opens your email app with prepared text; it does not send the message automatically.
Your email app and provider handle any message you decide to send. Email is not anonymous because your address normally accompanies the message.
Beyond this static site
External services have their own privacy practices.
Links to Facebook, thepalace.app, the public Palace Directory, compatible-client information, and other external destinations leave this website. Those services decide what they collect and how they operate.
Standard hosting or server logs may exist at the hosting-provider level and are outside this static site's code. This page does not claim whether a provider keeps particular logs or how long any provider retains them.
The privacy behavior of a Palace client or Palace server is separate from the privacy behavior of this website. Consult the relevant client, server, and provider information before using those services.

Keep sensitive details out of ordinary feedback.
Do not include passwords, credentials, private messages, server security details, vulnerabilities, exploit instructions, precise location, medical information, or private personal records.
If you choose email, include only what is necessary and remember that ordinary email is not an emergency or secure-reporting service.
